Day 102 - Weigh-in, New Routine and Crushed Finger
So, lately keeping any kind of routine seems almost impossible.
I was supposed to get a new routine on Monday, but the entire day fell apart from the moment I woke up until the moment I went to bed. Just chaos. So, I did cardio Monday night at about 8pm (first chance I had to hit the gym all day).
Tuesday wasn’t much better, so Brett and I got to the gym at 8am to start the new routine, and its a good one. New exercises, keeps me busy. I’ll detail that in the next post. even have some video.
Yesterday, I went in for strength training again. Normally, I’d get a day of cardio in-between, but Brett leaves today for the Rock-n-Roll Marathon in Arizona, and then he’ll be at the X Games for 2 weeks. So, we wouldn’t have another chance at this. Unfortunately, we got a bit ahead of ourselves, and hadn’t re-racked our weights before starting the next exercise. So, when I sent to set the weights down on the floor from my bench-presses, I didn’t see the weights from the bicep curls, and got my finger and thumb crushed between the two. It hurt. A lot. Needless to say, I didn’t finish the workout. Most of the exercises require use of the hands, and I just didn’t have it. Instead, I just ran on the treadmill for 2 miles and then called it a day.
Today I’m not sure what I’ll do. I’ll figure it out. I’m feeling pretty disgusted over all, so who knows. I should swim, I suppose.
Oh, and I weighed in. Sort of. Well, remember, i got into the gym at 8pm? Right after finishing a California Cobb at the Wood-n-Tap. I felt bloated.
I weighed in Monday night at 267, but weighed in again on a hunch on Tuesday morning at 265.
I didn’t do a ‘timed’ 12 minute run, because I was tired, feeling bloated, and my right leg started to cramp everytime I went over 6.2 mph. So, instead I just ran for 15 minutes and then biked for 15. Then went home to work some more before crashing out at about 1am. Only to get up again at 6:30 to be at the gym by 8. This of course is why I’m so tired, I think. Not the workout schedule, but the work schedule. I almost had that licked a few weeks ago, but something new came up. It always does.
However, i have officially taken my LAST freelance client. Everyone from here on out gets a ‘No, thank you’.
