Day 92: Weigh In
Yesterday I woke up and thought to myself, “hey, I feel better. Maybe I’m recovered.” Then… I sat up.
OK. It wasn’t all that bad, really, but it wasn’t all better, either. My entire body was still achey and I dealt with a headache just on the edge all day. So, I just took it easy most of the day Sunday.
Today, I felt a lot better. I woke up, shoveled the walk and drive, and then took the kid to work. Today, the wife wasn’t feeling good, and didn’t sleep all night. So, the kid at work today threw off my entire schedule, and I ended up getting into the gym at 4:30 PM rather than at lunch-time. Fortunately, its New Year’s Eve and we got out of work a couple of hours early. Unfortunately, its New Year’s Eve and the gym closed early. So, I didn’t have time to do the full workout. Instead of doing a full 3 rounds, I just did 2. The good news is that I was able to do all of the cardio exercises without strange things happening. No cramping and no fatigue, other than normal working-out fatigue.
The pain in my left leg still hasn’t gone entirely away. I’m wondering if I’ve injured it. It wasn’t bad enough tonight to keep me from running, but I felt it quietly in the background the whole run, and I had to consciously keep myself from protecting that leg, or I would have really screwed up the whole thing.
Oh, and I weighed in.
STATS
I weighed in at 266 lbs.
I ran 1.28 miles in 12 minutes. Cool. Broke that 1 1/4 mile mark and its an average of 6.4 mph. Finally. Next, need to break the 1.5 mile mark (that’s 7.5 mph, ouch). Considering that I started off 13 weeks ago at 4.35 mph, I think jumping up another 1.1mph should be doable. Whaddaya think? Let’s try for end of February for that?
