Day 56: 4 Day Workout-Vacation

So, I had 4 days off. Lots of things happening. First of all, its Thanksgiving weekend, so there’s just a blur of activity all around us.  For my part, I would have been happy to just sit back and totally enjoy some peace and quiet, but apparently there is no rest for the weary.  I kept busy, doing things like unpacking boxes (I’ve got lots of books), arranging my office (I’ve also got lots of book cases) and raking leaves.  After raking leaves, I was ultimately glad I didn’t have to work out the next day, because my allergies flared up to full steam and I couldn’t even breathe.  Glad it was only a 1 day reaction.

Its funny. On Thursday, I ate 4 cookies and a very small bowl of ice cream.  I now look on a day like that as a “bad day”. Its unbelievably obvious to me that it was a lot of junk food.  However, 2 months ago, I would have thought it was just a normal day.  My bad days were MUCH worse.

Its the last day of my vacation, and I’m heading back into work tomorrow, and into the gym. It’ll be my 2 month weigh-in, so push-ups, body fat, weight and 12 minute run.  I haven’t don’t anything overly strenuous and I’ve eaten a bit more liberally than I should have.  I think I’ll be happy to have simply maintained my weight.  Can’t wait to see what I do on the other items.

Oh, I also ordered a new iPod Nano a few days back so that I’d have some stuff to listen to besides my own gasping for air on the treadmill.  I’m actually pretty excited about that. Should be here any day. :grin:
