Day 50: Weigh-in and Vacation - Day 3

Well, its the first day of my vacation. Very different from a normal work day. In all honesty, I have more opportunity at the work cafe to find more nutritious foods than at home. So, it was interesting to see what I could come up with. In the end, I wound up after today’s workout buying food for lunch and dinner at the Supernatural deli and grocery. Also, between taking the new kittens to the vet and working around the house before going to the gym, it turns out I didn’t drink as much water as I usually do before workout.

So, about today’s workout. I was very pleased with this weigh-in. But, I want to preface it with a reminder that I didn’t drink much water. See, generally, I’ll drink about a liter of water before lunch. Today though, I’d only had about a quarter of that. So, I might have been slightly dehydrated. I don’t know how much influence such a slight dehydration could have had, really, but I’m just sayin’, ya know?

OK. So, the numbers:

I weighed in at 272.5 lbs. That’s 4.5 lbs down from last week, and 20.5 lbs since initial weigh-in.

The distance covered during my 12 minute run was 1.17 miles, up from 1.13 miles last week.

See? After weeks of 1 to 2 lb changes, 4.5 lbs seems like an awful lot. I fully expect that it will be possible for next week’s weigh-in to show no decrease, since I keep feeling like this weeks decrease was exaggerated due to the lack of water this morning. I guess I’m just having a hard time believing the scale, today. Either way, I’m still feeling good, increasing my stamina and losing weight, and as Mike and Jamie say, my weight isn’t the thing to watch.

Now I’ve got to figure out tomorrow.

In all, I do have work around here that I’m hoping to do, but I’m pretty wiped. And this time, I don’t mean physically tired (though after today’s workout, I am that as well) but more the whole mental, attitude tired. The kind that you go on vacation to get rid of. All in all, I just want to chill out and enjoy doing nothing. Guess I’m succeeding at that, so far.
