Days 26-28: Boston
I had hoped to get at least SOME workout time in at the hotel gym this weekend, but to no avail. Early mornings and late nights, with classes for most of the day. However, it turns out that its generally easier to walk around Boston than to try and drive, so we got a lot of walking in. I walked all around the convention center. I walked between the convention center and the hotel. My wife, kid and I walked from the hotel around town to find dinner. I guess city dwelling has some health advantages.
Food this weekend also had me worried. Friday was pretty good, overall. Wasn’t real sure about dinner at the Cracker Barrel. Their stuff is SO GOOD, but I don’t ‘healthy’ is on the menu. Even the fish is fried. Once in Boston I lived on take out and power bars except for dinners. I didn’t get the WORST things on the menu, but the choices were either salads, or not. I gotta say, I’m just not always in the mood for a salad. I wish every place had a Upick2 option like Panera. Half of something, and half a salad. It would make life easier.
So, that was my weekend. 3 days out of the gym, and good to fair food choices. I’m totally worried about Monday’s 1 month weigh-in. I really hope I don’t put on weight 2 weeks in a row. We’ll see how it goes. ![]()
