Day 164: More Painful than Childbirth

OK. Probably not REALLY more painful than childbirth since my wife had an epidural, but she says she was in more pain this last week than she was just before she had the epidural. So, my wife had/has an infection which has been playing havoc with my schedule. I’m not complaining, just sayin’. Its pretty much

So, Friday was a great swim. 1 mile, but barely. Too many swimmers, so we had to circle swim 3 to a lane. I had to slow up a number of times to keep from running over the lady in our lane, so I couldn’t go full out for the first 20 minutes of my swim. But it was a good swim, anyway.

Saturday my wife spent the day in bed, so no workout for me. However, about midnight Saturday night, the heavy rains caused water to seep into the basement, so I spent almost 2 hours getting stuff off of the floor, moving furniture out of the way of rivulets, etc.

Monday I weighed in at 262 lbs. Still maintaining. Great workout.

Mike says he wants me to NOT be running until I figure out this knee thing. The biggest hold up here is my own time. I just haven’t made the time to find a doctor and call for an appointment. Until then, swimming will be my friend. Which is too bad, since everyone went running outside again today.

Also, since the season is changing, we’re going to change up the workout next week. Gym workouts will be switching to twice a week and I’ll be doing cardio 3-4 days a week. Hopefully road work!

Oh, and I have a sore neck, so no workout for me today. Instead, I went to lunch with my wife. I’m feeling better tonight, so I’ll probably be at the pool tomorrow.
