Day 147: Strained Shoulder & 8 Inches of Snow
OK. I think the ‘official’ numbers for Friday’s snowfall was only 6.5 inches, but the way it drifted up in places, there was probably a good 8 inches in most of my driveway. I spent about 30-40 minutes before work clearing the 2 inches that had fallen overnight, then when I got home from work, spent another hour and a half clearing the 6 inches that had fallen during the day. By the time I came in from shoveling, my girl had already gone to be without her stories. So, no workout, but I was feeling the snow shoveling on Saturday.
I also woke up really tired yesterday (and today). I didn’t really want to go to the gym, but after a while, I decided to go ahead and go. I hit failure earlier than normal, which I suppose happens when you are tired to begin with, but I got thru all 3 sets as best I could. The second time thru, though, I pulled my left shoulder. I don’t know that happened, but when I was done with the shoulder raises, I found that my shoulder was throbbing slightly. It still hurts today. Generally sore muscles hurt more the second day than the first, so tomorrow will tell whether I’ve really hurt it or just caused a general soreness. Even sitting here typing, though, seems to be causing discomfort. Nice.
