Day 107: Surprise!

Great workout today, but nothing went as expected.

First, I expected to do a cardio day today, but Mike was in, and since I’d missed my strength workout yesterday, and since I’ve got my swim day tomorrow anyway, he decided to introduce me to the experience that is my day 3 strength workout. So, surprise!

I weighed in at 264 lbs, but EVERY SINGLE TREADMILL was being used by someone else. Mike decided it wasn’t worth waiting for a treadmill to open up so I could do my 12 minute run, so he decided to skip it this week. Surprise, again!

I did a 5 minute warm-up, then Mike put me through the paces. We used a physio ball and no weights. I was on my arms for 2/3 of the workout. The legs were worked as well, but I must’ve done almost a hundred pushups in the course of an hour. In all, I expected that tonight, if anything, my arms and pecs would be sore. But its my legs, especially my inner thighs are very sore. Not real, sharp pain as though I’ve injured something, but just general soreness. Its difficult to walk, sit, stand, whatever. So, again, surprise! Here I am typing up my blog, and I can’t sit in a single position for more than a few minutes.

I wonder if I’ll be able to swim tomorrow. If it gets too hard, I suppose I can always use the pull-buoys.
