Day 103: Its Friday, but the Week Ain’t Over Yet.
So, I’ve got this crazy new routine. 6 days on the page (but he tells me that one of the cardio days is supposed to be ‘active play’ kind of activity).
Its two days after the dumbbell incident, and the finger has healed up pretty well. I use Arnica Gel for body trauma. It works absolute wonders on bruises and the like. Finger was deeeep purple on Wednesday, but today you can hardly tell its injured. I’d be surprised to see any sign of it by Sunday.
So, back to the workout. Today, based on how I had to line up the days to get Sunday completely off, I now get to do weights on Saturday. I think. I’m wondering if I can’t do a better job of scheduling this. I just know that its unlikely that I’ll get ANY kind of real workout on Sundays. There’s a lot of sitting, driving, and less active activities hanging out with the grandparents on Sundays. I think I can make this even better, but I’ll have to sleep on it. Either way, tomorrow I’m off to the gym for weights.
Today was straight cardio. Low impact, but I went for 50 minutes. 15 minutes on the stair mill (that thing still kicks my butt), 15 minutes on the bike (I could bike longer, but the seat is SO uncomfortable. Can’t wait to start riding my real bike) and 20 on the treadmill.
Today was also a bottomless pit kind of day. If I could have, I’d've just eaten all day long. Probably a lack-of-sleep thing. Rough night last night.
I also had a chair massage today, with no ill effects. Though Melissa was concerned about the massage from 2 weeks ago and decided to take it easy on me. No deep massage.
I think that’s it. Oh, wait, no. One more thing. My wife has started telling me I MUST get new jeans. “You can fit 3 of your butts in there, now.” Apparently I’ve lost enough weight that there is far too much sag in the jeans to get away with. Especially for work. So, even though i’m hoping to get smaller still, I suppose a shopping trip may be in order. Though I might get away with another month or two if I can get it together enough to just iron my khakis and go jean-less until spring. maybe I’ll just buy 1 pair.
